Kimbo Slice on TUF 10

Kimbo Slice will be a contestant on the tenth season of The Ultimate Fighter. The show is shaping up to be a circus with Rampage and Evans as coaches and Slice now added to the cast. Obviously there will be a fair amount of outrage over Slice's addition, but in some ways I respect the decision on his part. It's a last ditch effort to salvage his career. I enjoy watching stuff like that.

For the UFC, it's all about ratings. With Slice on board, the show will break records. More ratings equals more exposure for their PPV ads, which appear during almost every commercial break.

Does he have a chance at winning?

He can definitely win his first fight. I don't see them matching him up with any of the better fighters. There are always guys at the bottom of the cast who stink (Gabe Ruediger). This will be especially true with the Heavyweights featured. It's a very shallow division. After the first round, it's probably lights out on his TUF run.

Odds of Rampage using his "Black on black crime" joke in the first episode?

2/1

It will definitely be interesting...

Can't be any worse than 10 episodes of drunken pranks and stupidity with a 2-round fight at the end of each hour.

This is going to be great TV. Kimbo is a straight up thug and will probably murder somebody by the end of the show. I wouldn't want to be trapped in a house with that dude for six weeks.

The only way this show could be better is if they bring back Gabe Ruediger and both the Browning brothers. Call it TUF10:Your Fifteen Minutes Are Almost Up.

I think this is a great idea. Kimbo has some skill for sure and now that he's going to get some serious training it might shape him up to be a real fight contender. As for the house crap thats for the women to watch so the guys can see the fights in between. If you are watching it for the drama then just go get a real life and let us fight fans get back to fight talk.

Jim sounds like a real tuff guy. Kimbo's like 62 years old. The dude is a tired old man. I agree too much of the house stuff is gay, but some of it is entertaining. I'd still watch the show if there wasn't any, but I don't think the show would be better without it.

anonymous...im not trying to sound like a tuff guy (although at least i dont post anonymous). facts are facts, the house crap is just filler and there to keep the drama queens bringing in the ratings. oh by the way, kimbo is 34. Go play fight fan at sherdog with the rest of the weenies.

Only 34? Really? I thought for sure he was 62. My point was he will be an old man in that house, and from what I've seen (only two fights) he tires quickly (like within two minutes). And although I don't think you can classify it as fact, I basically agree that much (not all) of "the house crap is just filler and there to keep the drama queens bringing in the ratings." So lets be friends.

Serious question, what's sherdog? I guess I'll have to google it.
